From an early age of 2, DJ Harrington learned how to paint with his grandfather on some old boards at the lake house. He has always been interested in anything that has to do with building. As a teenager, DJ worked summers as a framer and building houses.

While in high school, Daniel studied carpentry for 2 years at a nearby vocational school. After high school, he continued his carpentry education at Alfred Sate College where he played rugby and earned my Applied Associates Degree in 1994. From Alfred State he transferred to Buffalo State College to play Rugby as well as Water Polo. At Buffalo State, DJ studied Vocational Tech.

Founder of an Asheville Granite & Marble Company.

In 1998, he moved to Charlotte, NC and worked at a Corian fabrication and installation shop. After advancing from fabricator to installer, he was promoted granite supplier to manage the quality control of 3 different installation crews. As the demand for granite grew in the area, the company became a granite supplier as well. He took on the new position of lead granite installer.

DJ held this position for 2 years before he was offered a job as production manager at a high-end Granite Shop in the Asheville area in 2002. DJ was able to quickly improve the quality of work. In 2005, he became the operation/sales manager for an up and coming granite shop in the Asheville area. In Feb of 2010 he purchased an existing Granite shop and now employs three of the top fabricators/installers in Western North Carolina.
