Custom Outdoor Firepits
in Asheville, NC
Granite-capped firepits, tailored fire tables and coordinated stone gathering spaces—planned around the feature, the landscape and the way you want to live outdoors.
What Makes an Outdoor Firepit
Feel Built Into the Landscape?
The best fire feature does more than hold a flame. Its scale makes sense for the terrace, its shape guides the seating, and its stone feels connected to the home and the surrounding mountain landscape.
Reflections fabricates custom stone tops, caps and finished surfaces around the approved fire feature. We plan dimensions, seams, edge profiles and visible movement so the completed stonework looks intentional from every seat.
Fuel supply, burners, inserts, ventilation, foundations, drainage and required clearances must be established for the specific project. We coordinate the stone dimensions with the selected equipment and the appropriate licensed trades before fabrication.
Warmth, Stonework
& Room to Gather.
Tailored Proportions
The cap width, overall height and opening are fabricated around the selected feature and intended seating layout.
Considered Stone Layout
Edges, seams and natural movement are planned to look deliberate around circular, square or linear forms.
Outdoor Material Guidance
We help evaluate color, finish, weather exposure and care expectations before the stone is approved.
Coordinated Details
Stone dimensions are coordinated with the base, burner or insert, access panels and surrounding site conditions.
Custom Fire Features Shaped
Around the Space
The scenes below are design inspiration. Final construction, fuel type and placement depend on the approved appliance, site conditions and applicable requirements.

Linear Fire Tables
A broad stone top and long central flame create a tailored focal point for conversation seating and modern patios.

Traditional Round Firepits
A circular cap welcomes seating from every direction and can coordinate with a properly specified gas feature or wood-burning insert.

Firepits & Coordinated Seat Walls
Repeat the cap material on a nearby seating wall, steps or ledges to connect the fire feature with the larger landscape.
Stone Chosen for
Outdoor Exposure
A firepit cap must be evaluated as part of the complete assembly. Reflections helps narrow the stone and finish after the feature, exposure and construction details are known.
Granite
Dense natural character, a wide color range and finishes that pair beautifully with masonry and mountain landscapes.

Questions to Answer
Before Fabrication
Does Reflections build the entire firepit?
We fabricate and install the custom slab-stone caps, tops and finished stone components included in the approved scope. The masonry base, listed fire feature, fuel, electrical, ventilation and site work are established with the appropriate qualified trades before fabrication.
Can a custom firepit use gas or wood?
Either may be possible depending on the site, local requirements and the selected listed burner or insert. Those decisions must be made before the opening, cap and access details can be finalized.
Which stone is best for an outdoor firepit cap?
Granite is often considered because of its density, outdoor performance and color range, but every project is evaluated individually. The stone remains part of a correctly designed noncombustible assembly and should not substitute for the required burner pan, insert or insulating components.
Can a firepit go beneath a covered patio?
Only when the specific appliance is listed for that condition and every manufacturer, ventilation, clearance and local requirement can be satisfied. Many projects are better suited to open-air placement, and no covered installation should be assumed during design.
Will a circular stone cap have seams?
Usually. Overall diameter, slab dimensions, access, stone movement and safe handling determine how many sections are needed. We plan the segment sizes and seams to create a balanced finished circle.
Can the firepit match an outdoor kitchen or seating wall?
Yes. Repeating the same cap material or coordinating its color and finish can visually connect the firepit with an outdoor kitchen, seat wall, steps or other landscape elements.
