Quartz Countertops
in Asheville, NC
Custom-fabricated in our Fletcher shop and installed by our own crew. Quartz offers consistent color, dependable performance and a broad design range for kitchens, baths and hardworking commercial spaces.
What Makes Quartz
So Practical?
Quartz countertops are engineered from mineral quartz blended with resins and pigments, then formed into durable slabs. This controlled process produces a more consistent appearance than natural stone while still offering depth, movement and a substantial feel.
The surface is nonporous, so it does not require sealing and is easy to clean with mild soap and water. Its dependable patterning also makes it easier to coordinate multiple slabs, long runs and adjoining spaces.
Quartz is intended primarily for indoor use. It is strong and stain resistant, but direct high heat can damage the resin, and extended ultraviolet exposure may change its color. We will help you choose the right material for the way your room will actually be used.

Quartz Countertop Questions
We Hear Every Day
Does quartz need to be sealed?
No. Engineered quartz is nonporous and does not require a penetrating sealer. Clean it with a soft cloth, mild soap and water, following the care instructions from the specific manufacturer.
Can I place a hot pan directly on quartz?
Use a trivet or heat pad. Quartz contains resin binders that can be damaged by direct high heat or sudden temperature changes, even though the mineral content itself is heat resistant.
Is quartz the same as quartzite?
No. Quartz is an engineered surface made from mineral quartz, resin and pigments. Quartzite is a natural metamorphic stone quarried in slabs. They differ in appearance, care, heat tolerance and consistency.
Can quartz be used outdoors?
Most standard quartz products are intended for indoor use because long-term sunlight and weather exposure can affect their resin and color. For outdoor kitchens, we will recommend a material specifically approved for exterior use.
How much do quartz countertops cost near Asheville?
The installed price depends on the selected color and brand, project size, slab layout, edge details and sink work. Bring your plans or measurements to our Fletcher showroom and we can prepare a project-specific estimate.
