These stones can be understated or have great character and movement. All granite is heat, bacteria, and scratch resistant with great durability. It should not stain under normal use even when exposed to citric acid, coffee, tea, alcohol and wine, but as a precaution, we offer a Lifetime Stain Protection Sealant. With normal use, nothing in the kitchen will chip, ding, or break. Most of our slabs are a 3cm (1-1/4") thickness but we do have some colors in 2cm (3/4").
We have many slabs of natural stone in stock. You can also choose your slabs directly from our suppliers.
Becuase of its porosity, granite has required regular sealing in the past. Reflections Granite & Marble can apply our custom sealer that has a lifetime warranty. If your natural stone was installed just yesterday or some years ago, PetraSeal can refresh your counters and give you the protection you need. A lifetime stain-proof written warranty against water, salts and oil-based stains. The sealing process from the original supplier has greatly improved from years ago. It is advisable to use a combination cleaner sealer.

A rare slab like Black Marinace, Desert Dream, Dynamic Blue or Red Dragon can serve as an accent piece placed on a kitchen island. Pair them with sands or browns like Bordeaux Dream, Almond Gold, Amber Yellow, and Giallo Fantasia.
Mined all over the world, granite truly reflects the beauty of the land and culture from which it came. Take the Blue Lemurian specimen and you are reminded of the striking blue seas against sharply rising cliffs of Italy. Kalahari or Prada Gold from India may remind you of the traditionally dressed women in saris of gold and yellow.
Harvesting Granite for Counter Surfaces
Granite is cut out of the earth in blocks. Then it is sliced into sheets. The stone is polished and sealed. Each piece is unique. Our natural stone selection comes from all over the world and brings that uniqueness and drama into your kitchen. Since each piece is different, clients can go into a warehouse and select each the actual pieces of natural stone that go into their kitchen or bath.
Granite can withstand high temperatures for prolonged periods. You can put that hot pot right on the counter. Each slice or slab of granite measures around 7ft tall by 10ft wide. If your counter top is larger than that, your countertops will be installed in pieces. It will have seams. Some granite seams are more visible than others, depending on their make-up. Each whole slab weighs about 1400lbs.
